Senior police sources have confirmed that 19 year old John Walcott was not the rider of a motorcycle which lost control around turn causing him to end up under the wheel of a moving fuel tanker.

The rider of the motorcycle has been identified as police constable Orin Parris. Parris who resides on the West Demerara is stationed in the police ‘C’ Division. He was also detailed to be at work at the Lusignan Prisons on the East Coast Demerara at the time that he crashed a motorcycle at Sisters Village on the West Bank of Demerara.

He nor the pillion rider who is now dead were wearing safety helmets at the time of the crash. The truck driver did tell investigating ranks that it was not the dead teen alone who was on the motorcycle.

The man claimed that after the motorcycle lost control and the pillion rider ended up under the wheel of the moving truck, the rider got up and ran away.

That account was also mentioned by a number of other persons to the BIG Smith Crime Watch on Wednesday when we visited the accident scene while others said that they saw nothing of the sort.

The dead 19 year old leaves to mourn among other persons, his six week old daughter and her mother.
