New support system for cash grant registration process

May 29 2026
The government has stepped up efforts to assist eligible persons in registering for the $100,000 cash grant, particularly those who may face challenges completing the process independently.
According to a report from the Department of Information, shut-ins, pensioners, persons living with disabilities, and other beneficiaries can now access support through the official portal at [https://cashgrant.gov.gy/](https://cashgrant.gov.gy/) by selecting the “Get Help” option.
Applicants are required to submit basic personal details, including their first name, last name, telephone number, and address, as well as indicate the type of assistance needed.
Support services available include home assistance for persons living with disabilities, help with opening a bank account, assistance in applying for a Tax Identification Number (TIN), and guidance for registering for an electronic identification (eID) card.
Once submissions are completed, applicants are expected to be contacted by a government representative within a few days.
According to the latest figures up to April 30, a total of 289,565 persons have already received the $100,000 cash grant, with 265,281 beneficiaries receiving payments directly into their bank accounts.
