– To Boost Caribbean Meat Supply

Greenfield Meat, a leading provider of high-quality meat in Guyana, has unveiled plans to build a state-of-the-art halal meat processing facility in Diamond, East Bank Demerara.

The US$10 million investment highlights the company’s commitment to bolstering food security in the region, in line with the strategic goals of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), spearheaded by President Irfaan Ali.

Scheduled to become operational by the end of this year, the new facility will significantly enhance Greenfield Meat’s capacity to deliver top-tier meat products throughout the Caribbean.

This expansion underscores the company’s dedication to quality and innovation, as well as Guyana’s expanding influence in the regional agricultural sector.

The Diamond facility will feature cutting-edge technology and will adhere to the highest standards of food safety and sustainability.

Further details about the facility and its operational plans will be revealed in the coming months.
